About the Role
Provides transportation of clients to/from work/school, clinic/office, doctors' appointments and other program activities. Highway/City driving required. May be required to drive vehicle for an extended period of time. Provides ongoing support to clients, Therapy and CSC staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and timely transportation to clients who are reporting to/from work/school, clinic/office, doctor's appointments and other program activities.
- Routinely check vehicles for fluid levels, tire pressure, general wear and tear and report to Supervisors/Transportation Coordinator.
- Pick up and deliver vehicles for maintenance and repair.
- Cooperate with and/or assist all representatives of State Licensing Agencies/Accreditation bodies, as needed, during inspections and surveys.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
- One-year experience with disabled or handicap individuals.
- 5 years driving experience.
- Must hold current, violation-free driver's license.
- Must be flexible to change in daily routine and schedules.
- Must be able to follow directions well.
- Must demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Must be able to read and follow transportation schedule.
- Must be motivated to perform assigned duties.
- Some heavy lifting required.
