About the Role
MGC Contractors, Inc. is seeking Field Engineers to join our Texas Division in the Austin area. As a 100% Employee Owned Corporation specializing in water and wastewater general contracting, we offer diverse project delivery methods.
Responsibilities
- Administer general and subcontract agreements.
- Manage construction scheduling.
- Procure and expedite materials and equipment.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and piping systems.
- Review, report, update, and account for project costs.
- Review subcontractor payment applications.
- Participate in project meetings.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractor field installations.
- Review and negotiate subcontractor change proposal pricing.
- Prepare change proposals for self-performed work.
- Research and suggest construction means, methods, and equipment options.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with owners, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related program required.
- Prior construction field experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Quick response time to inquiries.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
