About the Role

You will be part of our Professional Services organization, designing and delivering complex, customer-centric solutions. We are looking for a senior technical leader who can shape solution architecture from opportunity discussions through successful delivery, balancing customer expectations, HERE platform capabilities, engineering feasibility, commercial constraints, and long-term maintainability. You will interface with customers and internal stakeholders globally, bringing to life complex software solutions that advance HERE’s geo-location business and vision. You will provide technical leadership and business acumen to your peers, working across functional and technical domains including cloud services, embedded, and mobile clients. Deep understanding of the automotive domain, especially AD/ADAS systems, Navigation, and AI Integration in embedded environments is key. You will design high-level systems, explain problems and solutions clearly, and manage software requirements.

Responsibilities

Drive the draft solution design during the opportunity quotation phase (RfX).
Identify the right products and technologies to solve customer problems.
Act as a primary point of contact and trusted technical advisor for all internal and external stakeholders.
Build and maintain relationships with German automotive customers, including travelling to customer locations and conducting technical communication in German.
Map stakeholder requirements to system requirements.
Develop static and behavioral views and define interfaces for the system.
Make timely decisions and communicate them to all necessary stakeholders.
Take ownership and accountability for the technical quality and cost-effectiveness of the solution throughout its lifecycle.

Requirements

Proven track record in architecture and technical leadership, ideally built on a solid engineering foundation.
Hands-on experience with real-world production deployments and scaling complex solutions.
Experience in software requirements elicitation, analysis, and management.
Experience providing guidance and leadership to engineers.
10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
Experience debugging in embedded environments (QNX, Linux, Android Automotive OS infotainment).
Experience with modern technologies and architecture practices (distributed systems, cloud-native design, security-first design, domain-driven design).
Experience with ADAS/AD, Navigation, and AI integrations and solutions.
Analytical, conceptual, and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to work across teams, manage issues cross-functionally and remotely.
Availability to regularly travel in Germany and abroad.
Availability to communicate across different time zones.
Availability to offer coaching to others in own areas of expertise.
Pre-sales experience is a strong plus.
