About the Role
Neko Health is seeking an Employment and Commercial Counsel Lead, US, to help shape the legal foundation of its rapidly expanding US operations. This role is central to navigating the legal complexities of scaling a mission-driven healthcare company across North America, offering broad responsibility across labor and employment law, commercial and corporate matters, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Own all US labor and employment issues, including employee relations, workplace investigations, wage and hour compliance, and terminations.
- Advise on commercial contracts, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner closely with People/HR, engineering, clinical, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance and resilience during company growth.
Requirements
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active US State Bar admission (New York preferred).
- 8-10 years of relevant experience split between a leading law firm and in-house legal team.
- Substantial hands-on expertise in labor and employment law.
- Strong grounding in commercial and corporate law.
- Ability to deliver practical, business-minded legal solutions.
- Experience in healthcare regulations, IP, or supporting rapid headcount growth is a plus.
