About the Role
This role is an opportunity for associates to advance into management. You will learn all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, unloading, and loading. Emphasis is placed on positive customer interaction and maintaining workflow to meet expectations. Responsibilities include handling pallet and case movement using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand.
Responsibilities
- Participate in pre-shift meetings.
- Engage in stretching exercises before each shift.
- Conduct safety observations.
- Support management functions.
- Participate in coaching and training activities.
- Communicate effectively with leadership.
- Perform yard marshalling duties.
- Learn all aspects of receiving, unloading, and loading operations.
- Work independently or in teams with minimal supervision.
- Interact positively with customer staff and delivery personnel.
- Oversee a specified work area to maintain workflow and meet customer expectations.
- Handle the movement of pallets and cases on and off trailers and other vehicles using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand.
Requirements
- High-energy individual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to perform fast-paced and very physical work.
- Ability to lift and carry 25-75lbs.
- Prior warehouse and/or equipment experience is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
