About the Role

Lead a Paraplanning and Advice Delivery Support Unit (ADSU) team in London, overseeing performance, development, and service delivery. This player-manager role combines people leadership with technical and client work to support business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop Paraplanning and ADSU colleagues.
  • Manage performance, wellbeing, development, and recruitment activity.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  • Oversee workflow, capacity, and service levels across both teams.
  • Act as a key contact for Advisers and Financial Planning Executives.
  • Use MI and data to monitor performance and drive improvements.
  • Maintain a reduced caseload alongside management responsibilities.
  • Support report writing, advice delivery, quality reviews, and complex cases.
  • Ensure accurate records and effective use of Curo.
  • Promote high standards of quality, compliance, and client service.
  • Drive process, technology, and operational improvements.
  • Build strong relationships across Advice Delivery and the wider business.

Requirements

  • Strong Paraplanning experience with high-quality report-writing skills.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, and regulation.
  • Able to manage competing priorities while maintaining service standards.
  • Adaptable, accountable, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Previous people-management experience.
  • Experience managing hybrid or multi-site teams.
  • Knowledge of workflow systems, MI, and Curo.
  • Experience supporting operational change and process improvement initiatives.
