About the Role

As a (Senior) Manager Privacy & Data Governance, you will advise departments such as editorial, product development, and business on GDPR-compliant implementations of new product and business initiatives for our diverse brands and digital platforms. You will work with experts from various disciplines and contribute to the development of market-leading media products with international reach in an innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data protection impact assessments for new products, technologies, and business models.
  • Coordinate relevant stakeholders and manage the implementation of all required GDPR obligations.
  • Co-responsible for the monitoring and management of data protection compliance for digital platforms (websites, apps, OTT), used (third-party) technologies, and partner integrations.
  • Protect employee data and collaborate with works council bodies.
  • Raise awareness in specialist departments about data protection issues, standardize and automate processes, and conduct target-group-specific training.

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional experience in privacy management or data protection project management, ideally with experience in the digital economy.
  • Understand data protection as an enabler for innovative, trustworthy, and legally compliant products.
  • Familiarity with abbreviations such as SCC, AVV, TIA, TOM, VVT, DSFA, DSE, and CMP.
  • Work independently, structured, carefully, pragmatically, and solution-oriented on complex topics.
  • Communicate clearly, bindingly, and cooperatively across all levels.
  • Ideally possess certifications in the data protection field or comparable qualifications.
  • Very good German and English language skills.
