About the Role
The Dining Services Associate is responsible for meal service to Members in assigned areas and for other designated duties in the kitchen, dining room, memory care, and transitional care units.
Responsibilities
- Sets tables and trays in assigned areas with necessary items for the meal.
- May deliver food cart to the appropriate unit.
- Sets up trays for Members who are unable to attend meal service.
- Sets up, serves, and cleans guest tables when needed.
- Provides meal service on Memory Care unit using a decentralized dining system.
- Adheres to all established safety and sanitation guidelines and follows department policies and procedures.
- Works in the dish-room and/or dining room as assigned, following correct procedures to ensure clean and sanitary service.
- Performs cleaning functions as assigned.
- May be assigned to put stock away if lifting requirements (up to 50 lbs.) can be met.
- Participates in in-service education, department meetings, and safety programs.
- Performs other duties as required by management.
Requirements
- Must be dependable and report to work on time for every scheduled shift.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be clean and neat in appearance.
- Must have a friendly, hospitality-oriented, and service-oriented personality.
- Must abide by work-related procedures and organization policies.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions (reasonable accommodation may apply).
- May be requested to assist in the evacuation of Residents or perform other procedures to protect the safety of Residents, visitors, and team members during emergency situations.
