About the Role
As the Content & Communications Manager Germany, you will significantly shape how Pennylane is perceived in the German market. You will develop our local content strategy and translate complex topics related to product, accounting, and market changes into relevant, understandable, and compelling content.
Responsibilities
- Develop and define the LinkedIn content and editorial calendar for Germany, focusing on product, e-invoicing, market trends, and other relevant topics.
- Create case studies and customer stories in both video and written formats, establishing a structured repurposing approach.
- Conceptualize high-quality lead magnets, guides, articles, and other formats for tax advisors and SMEs.
- Contribute to building the German newsletter by developing relevant topics and formats.
- Support the development and production of the company podcast.
- Adapt successful international content for the German market, ensuring cultural and market relevance beyond simple translation.
- Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Product, and Sales to create content for product updates, launches, and market trends.
- Transform complex product, regulatory, and accounting topics into easily understandable and engaging content.
- Develop sales enablement materials such as pitch decks, one-pagers, and product stories to support the sales team.
- Address recurring questions, objections, and needs of the target audience by creating reusable content.
- Develop content for events, webinars, and conferences, including social posts, emails, presentations, and on-site materials.
- Support communication before, during, and after events to ensure a consistent brand presence.
- Establish clear content processes and editorial plans with the German and international teams.
- Coordinate designers, freelancers, agencies, and other external partners as needed.
- Utilize AI tools for research, drafting, repurposing, and localization while maintaining quality, accuracy, and brand tone.
- Analyze content performance to identify successful topics and formats, continuously improving content strategy.
Requirements
- Native-level German language proficiency (written and spoken) and very good professional English skills.
- Approximately 5 years of experience in content, communications, product marketing, brand content, or B2B marketing.
- Experience writing for a B2B audience, ideally in SaaS, FinTech, Finance, Accounting, or another complex/regulated field.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex information and develop clear, relevant, and compelling stories.
- Strong editorial judgment and understanding of essential messaging.
- Structured approach with the ability to prioritize and drive multiple topics and projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable collaborating with diverse teams including Brand, Product, Sales, Growth, and Events.
- Proactive and action-oriented, capable of asking the right questions to create clarity and drive initiatives.
- Meticulous work ethic with a high standard for quality, balanced with speed and pragmatism.
- Experience building a brand in a new market is a plus.
- Knowledge of content repurposing and AI-supported content processes is a plus.
- Experience in an international environment is a plus.
