About the Role
This position provides reliable and timely analysis of financial results, budget, and forecasts, supporting business management and stakeholders in decision-making processes. The role also involves evaluating the financial impact of strategic decisions and investments within ABB's Robotics business in Japan.
Responsibilities
- Support monthly financial reporting package preparation, consolidation, and analysis to track business performance against targets.
- Facilitate financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis, including budgeting, rolling forecasts, management reporting, and variance analysis.
- Provide business analytical services by performing profitability analysis and cost & expense analysis.
- Support business controllers and management to improve operational KPIs through ad-hoc reports and analysis.
- Coordinate cost allocation across business lines, monitor SG&A, and support cash generation and NWC improvement by monitoring the Balance Sheet.
- Enhance controlling excellence through process standardization and continuous improvement by supporting global initiatives to implement financial tools.
- Optimize personal performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions and eliminating duplications.
- Support financial governance and reporting compliance through statutory audits and handling retained finance transactions.
- Collaborate with country finance and shared service organizations, including Treasury and Global Invoices.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in FP&A and Controlling or business finance within multi-national organizations.
- Ability to demonstrate analytical skills and translate financial insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Enhanced knowledge of ERP and reporting platforms.
- Good communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Working experience in Japan.
