About the Role
CORRECTIV is seeking a Video Production Manager to join their growing video team in Berlin. This role involves managing the organization and execution of video and audio productions, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards. The position requires close collaboration with editorial, camera, and editing teams, as well as external partners, and a strong understanding of journalistic content.
Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee video and audio productions from concept to publication.
- Create production schedules, calculate budgets, and manage timelines and resources.
- Contribute creatively to production development and identify necessary content and production elements for storytelling.
- Organize shoots and coordinate internal teams, managing communication with external parties.
- Manage the organizational flow of productions and ensure smooth collaboration among all involved.
- Prepare pitches and production concepts, supporting the editorial team in transforming ideas into executable productions.
- Develop existing production processes and bring structure to complex projects.
Requirements
- Experience in producing journalistic or documentary video content for digital platforms and ideally linear distribution.
- Experience in production planning, budget management, and project coordination.
- Structured work approach, ability to maintain an overview during demanding production phases, and find pragmatic solutions.
- Ability to coordinate teams, make decisions, and communicate tasks clearly.
- Well-connected in the media industry and familiar with journalistic production workflows.
- Ideally, experience in format development or a good sense for dramaturgy and storytelling.
- Ability to consider editorial ideas and assess the requirements for successful implementation.
- Openness to think beyond the defined role, learn about different areas, and directly support shoots when needed.
