About the Role

Support a Comedy Agent and Partner in booking comedy shows globally, managing schedules, finances, and client details for successful comedy tours. This role involves administrative tasks, industry research, and attending live events, with opportunities for growth and process improvement using AI.

Responsibilities

  • Keep booking system updated
  • Schedule meetings and manage agent's booking schedules and diaries
  • Proactively resolve enquiries or escalate as appropriate
  • Run ticket counts for all tours
  • Contract shows accurately, quickly, and efficiently
  • Track show income and proactively chase deposits/payments
  • Procure venue availabilities and assist with tour routing
  • Check and compare show offers, collating for management
  • Assist client management with tour settlements, including explaining financials, taxes, and other costs/deductions
  • Help coordinate Edinburgh booking needs and opportunities
  • Coordinate tour on-sales, including managing timelines, ensuring correct ticket links for artists, and providing promoters with up-to-date tour assets and riders
  • Keep client information up-to-date, including images, bios, release dates, pitch decks, management, and account information
  • Manage festival and headline show guest lists, assisting management/contacts with requests
  • Collect tour/show support suggestions from agents and present to management
  • Request and manage invoices from the management/accounts team
  • Chase and check settlements and payments, approving statements for final settlement with the client
  • Assist management with immigration needs, such as filing forms, assigning sponsorship certificates for artists travelling to the UK, and maintaining current passport copies and touring party information
  • Attend shows and meetings as required
  • Actively review comedy and live event content, sharing insights and tips to identify potential clients

Requirements

  • General understanding of the current comedy industry and the nature of a talent agency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Very strong Excel skills
  • Skills or an interest in developing AI solutions to improve work processes for the team
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Discretion at all times, particularly when dealing with sensitive client matters
  • Ability to prioritize a busy workload
  • Ability to develop business relationships
  • Previous experience in a related field is desirable
