About the Role

This role supports the Established Product (EP) Portfolio, focusing on driving strategy and value optimization for mature products across various therapeutic areas including Antifungal, Liver, and HIV. The candidate will conduct analytics, forecasting, and market research to inform strategic decisions for the EP team.

Responsibilities

Drive the development and execution of business analytics needs for the EP team, including business case development and portfolio metrics analysis.
Serve as the primary contact for EP portfolio data and reporting, collaborating with finance and analytics teams.
Own data and reporting needs for the EP team, developing analyses and insights to support the Commercial team and marketing strategies.
Conduct secondary analysis, such as analogue and benchmark analyses, to pressure test assumptions.
Collaborate with the GSCO EP Global Strategy Marketing (GSM) team to understand business questions and develop analytical approaches.
Lead the development of inputs and assumptions for the Latest Estimate (LE) forecasting process and Long Range Plan (LRP) for relevant EP Products.
Understand trends and drivers for short-term EP Portfolio forecast assumptions by working with local teams and consolidating regional forecasts.
Recommend LRP assumptions for EP Products to TA integrated insights teams.
Develop and maintain forecasting models for the EP portfolio.
Provide insights, analysis, and presentation materials to summarize forecast implications and recommendations.
Undertake market research responsibilities depending on business priorities within the EP portfolio.
Lead select global market research projects to support the overall global market research plan, including business case assumption testing and future landscape studies.

Requirements

Educated to degree level or above.
Extensive experience in forecasting and analytics within the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in specialty markets with in-depth knowledge of sales and marketing organizations and pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA).
Experience in one or more of Gilead's core markets (hospital-based anti-fungals, liver diseases, inflammation, oncology/haematology, and HIV) is preferred.
Capable of building analytical models to evaluate business situations and provide recommendations.
Ability to assume full responsibility for the accuracy and reliability of complex analyses.
Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritization, organization, objective setting, meeting management, and plan execution.
Ability to prioritize and utilize limited resources to manage multiple and/or conflicting requests.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization.
Potential leadership skills with the ability to set a vision, exercise sound business judgment, and demonstrate clear decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to efficiently communicate technical information to non-technical senior management.
High attention to detail combined with the ability to understand the 'big picture'.
Proactive, self-starter with the ability to learn quickly.
Ability to contribute to commercial strategy decisions and not just provide information.
Knowledge of MS Excel and business intelligence systems and tools (e.g., Microstrategy, Tableau) and their application in the pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge of and experience in forecast modeling techniques and their application to business problems.
Experience in developing forecasts for similar products or therapeutic areas is preferred.
