About the Role

The Contract Management group manages the entire contract lifecycle, including licensee onboarding, negotiations, amendments, and renewals. This role involves significant collaboration with various Disney departments and licensees, and focuses on implementing efficient systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain deep understanding of contract execution process and act as a subject matter expert (SME) on licensing contract execution.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to vendor staff, ensuring timely information and instruction for all licensing contracts.
  • Review vendor staff work product to ensure a consistent standard of excellence.
  • Act as SME for training and knowledge transfer to vendor staff.
  • Address complex and escalated contract execution issues, determining the appropriate course of action.
  • Lead and participate in contract status meetings with stakeholders.
  • Ensure contract execution Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes and controls.
  • Proactively identify roadblocks and risks, recommending solutions to leadership.
  • Partner with senior leadership to address licensee contract concerns, determine course of action, and drive to resolution.
  • Participate in regional and global ad-hoc projects.
  • Participate in system and process improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience.
  • Work experience within the entertainment industry is a strong plus.
  • Prior leadership and/or project management experience is a strong plus.
  • Prior experience managing vendor teams is a strong plus.
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of management orally and in writing.
  • Must be an excellent team player with solid interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • High energy level and strong work ethic.
  • Self-driven, independent thinker.
  • Results-oriented and decisive.
  • Willingness to be adaptable and flexible, with a desire to operate in a dynamic environment.

Skills

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Strong English and Japanese language skills (verbal, written, and reading comprehension of complex legal documents).
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Highly professional client service orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written settings.
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, and pivot tables is a strong plus.
