About the Role
As a Project Manager at BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH, you will be responsible for the development, modernization, and construction of heat and power generation facilities. You will manage multi-million euro investment projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and project management standards. You will be supported by a strong project team and company resources.
Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary projects, overseeing planning, control, and execution, including budget, schedule, quality, safety, and risk management from concept to commissioning.
- Plan and define work packages for all project components.
- Develop and control contracts with suppliers and service providers.
- Continuously and proactively manage the critical path.
- Report on key performance indicators.
- Strengthen health and safety management.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Proven several years of project experience in a technical field (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering/instrumentation, process engineering, civil engineering) or in a commercial field related to contract development and contract management in construction project realization.
- Proven project experience in assembly supervision, supplier management, and coordination of commissioning activities, ideally in the integration of new plant components into existing facilities.
- Project management qualification (e.g., IPMA certification or similar).
- Proven experience in leading project teams in the German market.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, inspiring leadership, ability to motivate teams, and bridge communication between the project and internal/external stakeholders.
- Negotiation skills, willingness to compromise, and persuasiveness.
- Good industry network.
- High level of software proficiency, including Office 365 Suite (Word/Excel Planner) and MS Project.
- Fluent German language skills at C1 level or higher as the primary working language.
- Approximately 70% of the stated requirements met.
