About the Role
As a Policy Manager, you will drive the creation and implementation of policies for upcoming categories across the product organization and supporting functions. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to develop policies that balance business objectives, user experience, compliance, and operational feasibility, shaping the framework for Vinted's expansion while ensuring a fair and safe member experience.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop policies for new and existing categories, incorporating input from legal teams on compliance, Trust & Safety teams on online moderation, and transactional product teams on post-order policies.
- Balance key considerations such as business objectives, operational costs, user experience, and legal requirements to create fair and effective policies.
- Build and refine processes that enhance collaboration between product, customer support, operations, and moderation teams, ensuring policies are rolled out efficiently.
- Continuously improve policies based on real-world impact, member feedback, and evolving business needs.
Requirements
- Has experience as a Policy Manager in digital marketplaces, eCommerce platforms, or other fast-paced, consumer-facing environments.
- Thrives in dynamic, early-stage settings and isn’t afraid to dive into complex challenges to drive results.
- Has a demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically, with strong risk-based judgment in fast-changing environments.
- Excels at project and stakeholder management, bringing teams together to create and implement effective policies.
- Is autonomous and a proactive, practical learner who thrives with ambiguity and prioritises what matters most.
- Uses data and analytical skills to make informed, strategic decisions.
- Pays close attention to detail and communicates with clarity and precision.
