About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to support the delivery of a new underwriting workbench platform. The successful candidate will translate business and technical needs into solution-ready BA artifacts that enable design, build, integration, and test teams to deliver against clear, well-defined requirements. Experience supporting the testing lifecycle, including input to test planning, test case/scenario definition, and support through test execution and defect triage, is especially important.
Responsibilities
- Develop process models covering current and target-state underwriting workflows.
- Create functional requirements specifications that are clear, testable, and traceable.
- Produce data flow diagrams and system handoff definitions.
- Document controls and map policy-lifecycle data movement.
- Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and other DevOps backlog updates.
- Provide input into and maintain the technical delivery plan.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a technical/solution-focused Senior Business Analyst on underwriting or policy workbench implementation programs.
- Experience with workbench implementations involving data/system feeds into a policy administration platform is essential.
- Strong grounding in APIs, system interactions, and data mapping/definition work within an insurance or London Market context.
- Ability to operate across business and technical stakeholder groups.
- Experience working directly with architects, developers, and test teams.
