About the Role
The Network Security Specialist will support clients in secure digital transformation, focusing on modern solutions for resilient networks and secure operation of complex IT and cloud environments. The role involves analyzing existing infrastructures, designing, implementing, and optimizing modern security solutions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing networks and conduct gap and risk analyses.
- Advise on, plan, implement, and test modern firewall and network security solutions.
- Design secure network architectures and segmentation models for complex client environments.
- Secure on-premise and cloud infrastructures in Azure and AWS environments.
- Implement and optimize security controls such as IDS/IPS, Proxy, WAF, NAC, or Secure Web Gateway.
- Support vulnerability analyses and security incidents.
- Automate recurring processes and create technical concepts and documentation.
- Ensure structured handover of solutions to operations and service.
- Present technical facts and solution approaches to clients clearly.
Requirements
- At least two years of professional experience in cyber security and IT.
- In-depth knowledge of network topologies, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), VPN, and routing.
- Practical experience in firewall management in on-premise and cloud environments.
- Experience with network segmentation and at least one additional security control like IDS/IPS, Proxy, WAF, NAC, or Secure Web Gateway.
- Knowledge of Azure or AWS network security and standard security controls.
- Experience with vulnerability analyses and support for security incidents.
- Customer-oriented communication, initiative, resilience, and enjoyment of practical implementation.
- German and English language skills at B2 level or higher.
- Willingness to travel for projects.
