About the Role
Provide comprehensive Neuropsychological assessment and clinical services across New York locations, supporting Northern New Jersey as needed. This role focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders affecting the brain and central nervous system in adult patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Neuropsychological evaluations to assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and psychological functioning.
- Complete clinical interviews, review records, select assessment measures, interpret results, and integrate findings into reports.
- Develop diagnostic impressions, recommendations, and individualized treatment or rehabilitation plans.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based strategies.
- Participate in clinical consultation and case review with the Chief of Neuropsychology.
- Provide clinical services for injured workers and patients injured in motor vehicle accidents.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care and support return-to-function goals.
- Provide services across designated New York locations and Northern New Jersey as needed and licensure allows.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Support the growth and development of the Neuropsychology Division.
- Abide by ethics and model values.
- Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with a sub-specialty in Neuropsychology from an accredited doctoral program.
- Formal clinical training in Neuropsychology: Neuropsychology-focused internship and postdoctoral training.
- Experience conducting comprehensive Neuropsychological evaluations, including clinical interviewing, test selection, administration/oversight, scoring, interpretation, diagnostic formulation, and report writing.
- Active New York Psychologist license required.
- New Jersey Psychologist licensure is preferred but not required at the time of hire.
- Strong clinical interviewing, assessment, diagnostic, and report writing skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate evaluation findings and recommendations to patients, families, referral sources, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
- Ability to provide services across designated New York locations based on clinical and operational needs.
