About the Role

As an integrated member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for the effective inspection, operation, and maintenance of all associated MEP assets within the critical facility. Your primary focus will be on critical facilities risk management and enhancing service delivery through technical engineering capabilities.

Responsibilities

Operate all MEP systems within the Critical Facility/Data Centre, including MV/LV Electrical isolations/operations.
Make recommendations for improvement and provide concise technical reports.
Ensure Specialist Vendors service visits are completed efficiently and inspect the quality of work.
Communicate recommendations to the Cushman and Wakefield Team.
Ensure minimum staffing arrangements are always maintained.
Accurately report all completed work orders, including recording of critical spares/stock items used.
Utilize the FAMIS platform for reporting.
Attend Weekly and Quarterly Team Meetings.
Review and prepare MOP’s, SOP’s and EOP’s.
Participate in relevant EOP scenario drills.
Complete weekly reports, noting significant events or activities.
Actively participate in Health and Safety compliance activities, such as Hazard/Near Miss Reporting and Toolbox Talks.
Ensure compliance with Cushman and Wakefield / Thomson Reuters MEP process and procedures for all work orders.
Ensure risk management documentation (RAMs, MOP, SOP or EOP) is in place for all critical works.
Liaise with the supply chain for ordering M&E components.
Attend nominated training courses as identified by management.
Undertake Site Specific Technical Assessments and Skills Gap Analysis.
Take ownership of plant rooms and ensure they are maintained to required standards.
Evaluate and escalate potential risks, including impact assessment, probable causes, and mitigation opportunities.
Contribute to continuous improvement of safe systems of work.
Complete Reactive, Planned & Corrective Work Orders on the CAFM System FAMIS in line with SFG20.
Ensure reliability of assets through excellent standards of maintenance delivery.
Escalate ONWH Alarm Notifications in line with agreed escalation procedures.
Accurately complete all FAMIS Work Orders, including time spent and details of works undertaken.
Acknowledge and complete FAMIS Work Orders within SLA.
Write and submit Service Now tickets, ensuring CR’s are submitted on time and correctly.
Manage the access and PTW process with the landlord for booking in works.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Critical Environments such as Banking HQ and Data Centres.
LV Authorised Person (A Bonus).
Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or similar.
C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds.
18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation (Ability to attain 18th Edition through additional training if you have 17th Edition).
C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
Good IT and report writing skills.
Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver required services within given time constraints.
Individuals who can demonstrate commitment and previous experience but not meet all required technical qualifications may be considered subject to Operations Directors approval.
Demonstrate a willingness to attend on and off-site training for MEP assets, this may require nights away from home.
