About the Role
We are seeking a Regulatory & Compliance Analyst to help navigate the regulatory landscape as we scale. This role is part of the Regulatory & External Affairs team, working directly with the Head of Regulatory & External Affairs on Ofgem submissions and government engagement, offering significant ownership from day one.
Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of regulatory workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- Support compliance workstreams with supply license obligations and industry codes, including tracking obligations and preparing submissions.
- Draft responses to regulatory consultations, RFIs, and stakeholder queries.
- Support engagement with Ofgem, DESNZ, code bodies, and other industry parties.
- Monitor regulatory and policy developments in the energy sector, assess their impact on Fuse, and brief internal teams.
- Build and maintain compliance trackers, checklists, and internal processes to ensure the business stays ahead of its obligations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a top university in policy, international relations, politics, economics, law, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of, or strong interest in, the UK energy industry and its regulatory framework.
- Comfortable with data analytics and confident working in spreadsheets.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft precise, well-structured submissions and correspondence for regulators and government.
- Ability to thrive with high ownership.
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and workstreams without compromising quality.
