About the Role
As a Front Office Manager (m/f/d), you will ensure our guests feel welcome from the very first moment with your sense for people and your presence at the reception. You will lead your team with empathy and clarity, creating a motivating work environment. Your goal is a smooth process at the front office – from arrival to check-out – and a professional appearance that inspires guests long-term.
Responsibilities
- Conducting check-ins and verifying reservations, overbookings, and options
- Monitoring the cost and accommodation revenue budget
- Ensuring quality standards and maintaining the quality management system
- Creating duty and vacation schedules
- Onboarding, motivating, and leading the reception team
- Conducting internal coaching, cross-training, and planning training sessions for the further development of front office employees
- Developing trainees
- Close collaboration with the reservation and sales departments
Requirements
- Willingness to take responsibility and be a role model
- Personality and strong hosting qualities
- Training in hotel management or at least 2 years of professional experience in the hotel/gastronomy industry or interest in a career change (e.g., with several years of experience as a team leader in the service sector)
- Enjoyment in developing employees and initial leadership experience required
- Hosting qualities and passion for the hotel industry, as well as a high quality awareness and service orientation
- Open, communicative demeanor, good manners, and good expression in German & English (spoken & written)
- Teamwork and willingness to support across departments – we achieve our successes together
