About the Role

Lead a team in the development of business intelligence products and services to inform operational policing, corporate strategies, and business decisions. Extract business insights from diverse data to transform valuable business information, driving NSWPF success and uplifting skills in Business Intelligence tools. This role offers a unique opportunity to use strong people and technical leadership skills to lead a large business intelligence and training and outreach team focused on maximizing the value of NSWPF’s data assets.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a team in the development of business intelligence products and services
  • Informing operational policing, corporate strategies, and business decisions
  • Extracting business insights from vast and diverse data
  • Transforming valuable business information
  • Driving the success of NSWPF
  • Uplifting skills in the use of Business Intelligence tools
  • Developing consumable insights and business intelligence (reports, summaries, products, services, and capabilities)
  • Enabling data-driven decision making at an operational, tactical, and strategic level

Requirements

  • Experience with python, SQL, Power BI, large language models, automated search and retrieval tools, and contemporary data analytics and insights tools is essential
  • Extensive experience leading teams of data professionals is also essential
  • Must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen
  • Must undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check
  • Must obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force
