About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated pedagogical specialist for our Work + Family program in Spandau. This role involves creating creative group activities in German as a Foreign Language and providing individual support to participants, aiding their linguistic integration and self-sufficiency in overcoming challenges.
Responsibilities
- Conduct German language classes for individuals with a migration background.
- Independently plan and design lessons.
- Lead practical and interactive group sessions.
- Assist with preparation for language proficiency tests.
- Document participants' learning progress.
- Actively participate in team meetings and collaborate with the team.
Requirements
- Completed vocational or academic degree, preferably in a relevant field.
- Additional qualification in German as a Foreign or Second Language (DAF/DAZ certificate).
- Minimum of one year of experience with the target group of people with a migration background.
- Teacher with at least C1 level German language skills.
- Experience in adult education is desirable.
- Empathy and professionalism when engaging with individuals in difficult life situations.
