About the Role
The ETF Product Specialist will drive the development of world-class ETF servicing capabilities for ETF product sponsors in Canada. This role supports innovation, new product development, and ongoing product management, advising on product structure and liaising with industry participants to foster client growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct business reviews and analysis to ensure key deliverables and milestones are met.
- Manage across multiple business units to provide value-add resources for a market-leading product offering.
- Collaborate with multiple business units (Sales, Product, Operations, Technology) to assess client needs and expectations.
- Perform analysis on competitors and conduct market sizing to contribute to overall product strategy.
- Identify and evaluate third-party vendors for potential strategic alliances.
- Plan major development initiatives and milestones with Sales, Product, Technology, Operations, and other groups for coordinated service delivery.
- Serve as a spokesperson for ETF services among industry participants and clients.
- Attend and participate in industry-related events and tradeshows.
- Support sales and services regarding the ETF product category, including formal presentations.
- Participate in the development of product functionality scorecards and metrics to track and improve financial success, customer adoption, and product quality.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of securities industry (10+ years) and ETF products (5+ years).
- Expert knowledge of investment strategies, data providers, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Familiarity with the exchange traded product market space in Canada, including service provider selection, lead market maker selection, authorized participant assignment, transfer agency, order-taking, and administration operations.
- Understanding of operational flows and business processes in ETF administration.
- Ability to embrace change and innovation.
