About the Role
This role is for a hands-on Snowflake Lead responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions. It requires expertise in Snowflake, data engineering, cloud platforms, data governance, and regulatory requirements. The role is critical for developing and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting AI-driven capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models using Snowflake
- Build and optimize workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting
- Ensure high data quality, integrity, and consistency across data platforms
- Analyze and optimize Snowflake performance (query tuning, storage optimization, cost control)
- Break down complex data requirements into structured, implementable solutions
- Identify dependencies across upstream and downstream systems and proactively manage them
- Troubleshoot data issues and implement durable fixes to prevent recurrence
- Develop and enhance data processes with a strong focus on automation, scalability, and reliability
- Define and track key metrics related to data pipelines, performance, and quality
- Ensure visibility into data flows, pipeline health, and processing outcomes
- Partner with business and technology teams to translate requirements into data solutions
- Clearly communicate risks, issues, and progress to stakeholders
- Support production releases, validate changes, and ensure stability of data platforms
- Ensure compliance with data governance, audit, and security requirements
- Support audit requests, controls validation, and remediation activities where needed
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake in a production environment
- Experience working in complex, cross-functional data ecosystems
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting, financial data platforms, or control environments
- Experience supporting production systems and handling high-priority data issues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
