About the Role
Perform, analyze, and report on oesophageal physiology tests including oesophageal high-resolution manometry, 24-hour pH studies, and Endoflip. Work within a specialist service alongside gastroenterologists and a multidisciplinary team in the Centre for Swallowing & Oesophageal Disorders. Support the Centre's clinical research program with opportunities for higher degree supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform, analyze, and report oesophageal physiology tests.
- Operate specialised equipment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with hardware.
- Maintain high laboratory standards and infection control.
- Ensure accurate test results and strong quality assurance.
- Practice safe, patient-focused care.
Requirements
- BSc or equivalent qualification with a strong foundation in Human Physiology.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with and reassure patients.
- Comfort performing invasive procedures (transnasal catheter insertion).
- Technical skills and ability to troubleshoot.
- Ability to work predominantly independently.
- Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold an Australian visa granting necessary work rights.
