About the Role
LCRA's Field Services team is hiring a steel fabricator to fabricate electrical substations with elite precision. The ideal candidate is motivated, willing to learn, and passionate about metal fabrication, with ambition and proven skills to craft flawless results in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal components for electrical substations.
- Perform punching, grinding, cutting, and welding using Oxy-Acetylene, plasma, and other hand tools.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts while following safety guidelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and tape measures to determine specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to successfully complete project plans.
Requirements
- Zero or more years of experience in a steel fabrication environment using equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes and punch presses or relevant experience.
