About the Role
Product Marketing Manager (PMM) defines the value proposition of Edenred Japan's products and services, translating them into market-ready messaging to drive business growth. This role involves deep market, customer, and competitor analysis to redefine product value propositions and build segment-specific messaging and positioning. The PMM will collaborate with Sales, Campaign Marketing, Content, and PR to execute Go-to-Market strategies, generating awareness, demand, and sales growth. For new product launches in Japan, the PMM will own the launch strategy, working closely with global Product Teams to incorporate Japanese market needs and maximize launch momentum. Product Marketing is central to Edenred Japan's strategy to grow beyond meal subsidies into a brand supporting employee experience and human capital management, offering significant scope and impact in redefining existing products and creating new market categories.
Responsibilities
- Develop product strategy and value propositions.
- Redefine the value of existing products and services through market, customer, and competitor analysis.
- Build Value Proposition, Positioning, and Messaging Frameworks based on customer needs, purchasing drivers, and value.
- Optimize value propositions and messaging for target segments like Enterprise, Mid-market, and SME.
- Generate insights using customer interviews, sales feedback, and quantitative/qualitative research.
- Act as a company spokesperson to promote product value.
- Develop and execute Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies.
- Design GTM strategies considering targets, customer issues, and purchasing processes.
- Collaborate with Campaign Marketing, Content, PR, and Digital Marketing for market deployment.
- Plan and prepare Sales Enablement materials (Pitch, Battlecard, FAQ, Use Case, Customer Story).
- Continuously improve messaging and GTM strategies based on marketing/sales data and customer feedback.
- Plan and execute new product/service launches in Japan.
- Collaborate with Global/Regional Product Teams, providing feedback on Japanese market requirements, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Provide local input on positioning, messaging, pricing, and packaging for market entry.
- Drive cross-functional launch readiness with Sales, Marketing, and PR.
- Set launch KPIs, measure effectiveness, and incorporate learnings into future launches.
- Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activities in human capital management, employee experience, benefits, and HR Tech.
- Propose incorporating customer and market insights into the Product Roadmap and Marketing Strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (any field).
- Over 3 years of practical experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, BtoB Marketing, or GTM Strategy within a business or related field.
- Experience in building Value Propositions, Positioning, and Messaging from customer, market, and competitor insights.
- Experience in driving Product Launches or Go-to-Market strategies cross-functionally for new products/services.
- Ability to translate complex product/service value into clear, persuasive customer-centric stories.
- Ability to formulate hypotheses based on quantitative/qualitative data, build strategies, and independently drive execution and validation.
- High communication skills to drive projects involving stakeholders from Sales, Product, and Marketing.
- Business analysis and presentation skills using PowerPoint/Excel.
- Ability to self-define issues, prioritize, and act in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Comfortable reading English documents and communicating with Global Teams.
