About the Role
This position will provide legal support to ensure the smooth progress and expansion of our business in Japan, in accordance with Japanese law.
Responsibilities
- Execute various legal and compliance tasks related to business operations in Japan (HR, eCommerce, Operations, Marketing, etc.).
- Handle internal investigations, disputes, and litigation.
- Advise on, draft, and negotiate contracts with various stakeholders.
- Support the launch of new businesses and products.
- Collaborate closely and cooperatively with relevant internal departments to drive projects and company-wide initiatives.
- Opportunity to establish and manage specialized teams within the legal department based on performance and expertise after joining the company.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed and registered lawyer in Japan.
- Over 8 years of legal experience after obtaining qualification.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency.
- Exceptional ability to continuously achieve creative, strategic, and business-oriented results while appropriately balancing growth and risk in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Willingness to actively learn and take on new areas and challenges.
- Ability to flexibly adapt to rapid and diverse changes in the business environment.
Skills
- Practical experience in HR and labor relations.
- Expertise and practical experience in internal investigations and dispute resolution.
- Business-level or higher English proficiency.
