About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a large enterprise environment on a 6-month contract. This is a hands-on role requiring strong traditional networking expertise combined with modern cloud networking and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize Data Network and Security infrastructure within complex, large-scale, multi-site enterprise environments.
- Design and deploy highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable multi-region cloud network topologies.
- Implement network security groups, firewalls, zero-trust architectures, and Identity and Access Management policies.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF routing protocols, DNS, DHCP, subnetting, and VPN configurations.
- Expertise in virtual networks, VPC peering, transit gateways, load balancers, and cloud NAT/gateways across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience setting up secure enterprise extensions using AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, or dedicated cloud interconnects.
- Proficiency in automating network provisioning using tools like Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Proven ability to design and optimise Data Network and Security infrastructure within complex, large-scale, multi-site enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience designing and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant and scalable multi-region cloud network topologies.
- Applicants will need valid Australian work rights.
