About the Role
COTA is seeking Crew Members to create memorable experiences for Guests at COTALAND. As a TRAM OPERATOR, you will provide a safe, hassle-free, and welcoming start and end to Guests' day by transporting them between parking areas and arrival locations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate COTALAND passenger trams along approved routes.
- Provide safe boarding, transportation, and unloading for Guests.
- Perform required vehicle and equipment checks.
- Maintain awareness of vehicles and pedestrians throughout the route.
- Communicate changing conditions or safety concerns.
- Provide friendly and helpful service to Guests.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid Texas Operator's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Demonstrated ability or prior experience safely operating pickup trucks towing passenger trailers or comparable vehicles.
- Ability to pass required background checks, motor vehicle record reviews, and drug/alcohol testing.
- Strong verbal communication and Guest Service skills.
- Ability to remain attentive and calm while operating in high-traffic environments.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle.
- Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly during a shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, squat, and use hands and arms as required.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision required.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures including heat, cold, rain, and sun.
- Ability to work in environments with moderate to loud noise levels.
