About the Role

As a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA), Cloud & AI – Infrastructure, you will enable Small, Medium, and Corporate (SMC) customers & Partners to achieve their business outcomes by leveraging their investments in Microsoft technology. You will drive the team to ensure customers derive value from their Microsoft investments, adapt business models, and act as the voice of the customers/partners. You will lead architecture design, resiliency reviews, and technical optimization to increase customer usage and Azure Consumed Revenue, ensuring cost-efficient delivery execution and high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Gather customer/partner insights and map architecture and Digital & AI transformation solutions to business outcomes.
Act as the voice of the customer/partner by driving feedback, gaps, and blockers across communities.
Synthesize customer/partner requirements and propose technical architectures, demonstrating solution capability and business value.
Apply technical knowledge to meet IT requirements and resolve technical constraints.
Identify, escalate, and resolve technical blockers to accelerate architecture implementations.
Respectfully challenge customers/partners when they are heading in the wrong direction.
Understand competitor solutions and identify Microsoft's strengths to convince customers.
Lead architecture design, resiliency reviews, and technical optimization for production deployment.
Drive efforts to ensure customer environments and applications are well-architected.
Deliver positive Customer Satisfaction and become a trusted advisor.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 12+ years’ experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
6+ years experience working in a customer-facing role.
6+ years experience working on technical projects.
Business communications - reading, writing and speaking English.
Native Japanese reading & writing with highest proficiency is a must.
Experienced at implementing, automating, and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure Infrastructure solutions.
Knowledge and experience in Azure Infrastructure Core (Storage, Network, Compute).
Knowledge and experience in Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework.
Knowledge and experience in Azure Landing Zones.
Knowledge and experience in Azure Backup & Site Recovery.
Knowledge and experience in Azure Migration.
Knowledge and experience in Azure Governance, Azure Policy, Management Groups, Governance / Compliance as Code.
Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics.
Knowledge and experience in Azure ExpressRoute.
Knowledge and experience in Virtual Network.
Knowledge and experience in VPN Gateway.
Knowledge and experience in Azure Arc.
Knowledge and experience in Azure Virtual Machines.
Knowledge and experience in Azure Virtual Desktop.
Knowledge and experience in Azure VMWare Solution.
Experience with ARM JSON or Terraform Templates – (Infrastructure as code).
Experience with Azure CLI and/or PowerShell.
Strong understanding of Windows Server and/or Linux Operating Systems.
Working knowledge of On-Premises Infrastructure Concepts; AD DS, DNS, Monitoring, Patching.
Understanding of Security concepts for Cloud Infrastructure and Microsoft Operating Systems.
Entra ID / Azure Active Directory (AAD) and Azure AD Connect knowledge and experience.
Microsoft Certifications qualifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert AZ‑305, Azure Administrator Associate AZ‑104).
Skills in Azure Security Center are desirable.
Skills in Azure Sentinel are desirable.
Skills in Configuration as code, such as Desired State Configuration (DSC) are desirable.
Automation / Orchestration knowledge – Azure Automation, Runbooks are desirable.
Microsoft Azure Stack Hub / Hybrid Cloud – Connected and/or Disconnected Scenario knowledge is desirable.
Azure PaaS, Containers, App Services, REST APIs, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) knowledge is desirable.
