About the Role
Lead the execution of medium-size projects, ensuring all activities align with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications, and targets. Lead project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet committed project results.
Responsibilities
- Lead the project team, establish the project execution approach, and oversee planning, monitoring, and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
- Monitor and control project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
- Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risk, and ensure all opportunities are identified and pursued.
- Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
- Take commercial and technical responsibility for projects, managing effectively by structuring, planning, budgeting, and execution from delivery until end of warranty.
- Ensure the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies.
- Effectively monitor and control project progress and efficient resource utilization.
- Monitor and control project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
- Capture, analyze, and share lessons learned throughout the project.
- Ensure the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed.
- Act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
- Monitor projects and execute regular reporting (project reviews).
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Project Management of industrial projects
- Knowledge of low and/or medium voltage variable speed drives, transformers, motors, switchgear, e-house
- Project management certification, PMP preferred
- Proficiency in use of ERP system, experience in SAP preferred
- University degree in Engineering, Electrical engineering preferred
- Ease of communicating in English and Spanish
- Willingness to travel 20%
- Must have work authorization that permits working for ABB in the US
