About the Role
We're hiring a Product Designer to help shape the product experience for Pi's agentic security platform at an early, pivotal stage. You'll work closely with product and engineering to turn complex security workflows into interfaces that feel fast, trustworthy, and obvious to use. This is a hands-on design role where you'll be in the details of interaction and visual design day to day.
Responsibilities
- Own product design for Pi's core surfaces, from early concept through shipped detail.
- Turn dense, technical security and engineering context into interfaces that are fast to scan, easy to trust, and simple to act on.
- Work directly with product and engineering to translate ambiguous product direction into concrete flows, prototypes, and polished UI.
- Design within and help extend the product's visual language and component patterns.
- Run discovery with customers and internal stakeholders to ground design decisions.
- Balance speed with rigor, shipping quickly while maintaining clarity and trust.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of product design experience, including owning complex, workflow-heavy products end to end.
- A portfolio showing strong systems thinking for information-dense, technical, or enterprise products.
- Fluency in modern interaction patterns for dashboards, tables, filters, detail views, and multi-step workflows.
- Comfort working directly with engineers on implementation details.
- Strong prototyping skills (Sketch preferred, Figma or equivalent).
- Experience running lightweight, fast research and translating findings into design decisions.
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment.
- Willingness and desire to work onsite in San Francisco full-time.
