About the Role

This role involves collaborating with Casualty Actuaries to influence pricing decisions through individual account pricing analysis, supporting strategic initiatives to improve the loss ratio, and working with the Pricing Data team on data quality projects. You will also generate regular reports on rate change and profitability metrics and undertake ad-hoc projects to enhance understanding of Casualty and rating models.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Casualty Actuaries to influence pricing decisions through individual account pricing analysis.
  • Support strategic initiatives to improve the loss ratio.
  • Work with the Pricing Data team on projects to improve the quality of data used in pricing analysis.
  • Generate regular reports on rate change and profitability metrics.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects to further understanding of Casualty and improve rating models.

Requirements

  • A mathematical, scientific or economics based degree.
  • Some actuarial experience or knowledge gained through either module(s) in degree or work experience.
  • Very good attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively articulate complex information in a clear, concise, and insightful way.
  • Ability to manage workloads across different projects effectively.
  • Enthusiasm to play a part in influencing what and how insureds are charged.
