About the Role
Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) enables customers of all sizes to run their applications on our industry leading cloud infrastructure. We are seeking a Sr. Product Manager who has a passion for building hyper-scale cloud products and enabling businesses take their computing infrastructures and applications to the Cloud. As a member of the EC2 Product team, you will help build core features across EC2 and AWS to help customers across industries and geographies adopt and built the next generation of technologies on AWS.
Responsibilities
- Define high-quality roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
- Develop detailed, crisp business narratives and user stories that can be used to create pricing strategies, product specifications and new features
- Work closely with sales teams, solution architects, business development and engineering teams to solve complex product and pricing issues
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, performance and operational support load
- Define product requirements, go-to-market strategy, and champion customer needs
- Coordinate across internal and external teams
- Prioritize roadmap features
- Spearhead the definition of new capabilities through expertly crafted business requirements documents
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience
- 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
- 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
- 7+ years of full product life cycle experience
- 5+ years of P&L management and pricing experience
- 5+ years of creating written docs for development of new products experience
- 5+ years of enterprise security product experience
- 5+ years of product management in the cloud computing technology space experience
- Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
