About the Role

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead plumbing consulting and design efforts. This role involves working on diverse projects including healthcare, commercial, multifamily, and educational buildings, with opportunities for career growth in people management and workflow improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead plumbing designs and prepare construction documents.
Perform plumbing calculations including fixture counts, booster pump head, ejector pump head, domestic hot water loads, storm water, condensate collection, and fuel oil venting.
Coordinate with ownership, mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams.
Support Construction Administration: RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, and field reports.
Adhere to QA/QC policies and escalate issues as needed.
Mentor junior engineers/designers and help grow the local plumbing team.
Assist with Business Development (BD) opportunities when needed.

Requirements

7+ years in consulting, construction, or similar.
Valid PE license.
Proficient in Revit (BIM).
Strong plumbing design experience (commercial, healthcare, process, multifamily residential, and/or manufacturing).
Clear communicator, organized, solution-oriented, able to work independently.
Must be located within a commutable distance of Glumac’s Sacramento or San Francisco offices.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position is not eligible for current or future employment visa sponsorship.
