About the Role
Calypso Quality Engineer is responsible for validating the functionality, performance, and stability of the Calypso trading and clearing platform. The role focuses on functional, integration, and regression testing, ensuring high-quality releases across BAU changes, enhancements, and platform upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for Calypso changes and releases
- Validate end-to-end trade lifecycle flows (capture, clearing, settlement, reporting)
- Design and execute test cases, scenarios, and regression packs based on business requirements
- Perform data validation and reconciliation using SQL across trade and downstream systems
- Support SIT, UAT, and release validation cycles, including defect triage and closure
- Collaborate with Dev and BA teams to analyze defects and drive resolution
- Support production releases and post-deployment validation
- Contribute to test automation initiatives and CI/CD integration
- Document test results, defect logs, and test evidence for governance
Requirements
- Strong 5–6 years’ experience in functional testing of the Calypso platform
- Good understanding of capital markets (FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Trade Lifecycle)
- Strong experience in automation tools (CATT, Selenium, Playwright, API testing)
- Solid experience with SQL and data validation
- Exposure to test management tools (JIRA, Xray or similar)
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Calypso workflows, APIs, and interfaces (MarkitWire, downstream systems)
- Experience with FIX messages
- Understanding of performance/NFT testing and capacity validation
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (incident/problem/change management)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Candidates must be legally authorised to work in Australia on a permanent basis without any restrictions
