About the Role
We are looking for a Laboratory Technician I to join our team in Austin, TX. This role involves running samples using various analytical instruments, managing samples, preparing standards, and ensuring data quality in a fast-paced, safety-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Run samples on a daily basis using ICP-MS, classical wet lab analyses, GC-MS, and particle counters.
- Perform sample login and tracking.
- Handle materials and kits.
- Dispose of hazardous waste properly.
- Review data and report results to the customer.
- Support the lab team through labware washing.
- Transport samples between labs.
- Enter test results into data management systems timely and accurately.
- Fill bottle kits.
- Follow SOPs.
- Perform lab cleaning and organization.
- Conduct sample preparation.
- Manage samples using LIMS.
- Analyze semiconductor grade chemicals for trace impurities or assay.
- Perform routine waste disposal.
- Prepare high-quality standards for instrument calibration.
- Standardize titrants.
- Calibrate analytical instruments.
- Ensure safe handling of chemicals.
- Collaborate to compile results, review data quality, and report results to customers.
- Submit quality and safety near misses.
- Stay up to date on all lab trainings.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety and quality.
- Attend all Safety Meetings.
- Analyze and gain insights from analytical data.
Requirements
- HS Diploma and 5 years of Lab Experience OR Associate Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 3 years of Experience OR Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 0 years of Experiences
- Able to adapt to teamwork environment
- Good computer skill
- Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture
- Holiday and weekend coverage
- Flexible to work OT as needed during staffing shortages
- Flexible to work night shift
