About the Role
The Senior Manager, FP&A reports to the Chief Operating Officer and owns the financial planning and analysis function for a global business generating over $50M in revenue, with a growth trajectory toward $200M over the next 3 years. The role establishes and runs the planning calendar, forecasting methodology, and management reporting cadence with limited direction across a multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction environment. It is accountable for the annual budget, re-forecast, and management reporting that the CEO and COO plan against. The role is the primary analytical partner to functional leaders, translating operating plans, pipeline, and headcount plans into controlled financial outputs and explaining performance against plan. It owns the integrity of the company's planning models and leads the FP&A team, making the function AI-native for faster, more accurate, and better-controlled cycles through automation and AI-enabled workflows.
Responsibilities
- Owns the FP&A team by managing model responsibilities, planning calendar, review controls, documentation, data flows, hiring, coaching, and role design.
- Owns the annual budget and re-forecast cadence end to end by establishing assumptions with functional leaders and translating inputs into controlled financial bridges, budgets, forecasts, and capex.
- Builds, maintains, and reviews operating plan, forecast, cash-flow, scenario, and acquisition-integration models.
- Drives the management reporting cycle and financial analysis for board and investor packs by translating variance to plan into operational drivers and stating implications for the forecast.
- Drives automation and AI-enabled workflows by redesigning data collection, plan consolidation, variance analysis, and report production.
Requirements
- Knowledge of driver-based forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, investment analysis, and model design principles.
- Knowledge of bookings, recurring revenue, renewals, pipeline conversion, revenue recognition timing, and commission plan mechanics.
- Knowledge of personnel planning and costing, non-personnel opex, capex, cost allocation, and FX exposure and entity-level cost flows.
- Knowledge of KPI design, variance analysis, management reporting structure, and conventions of board and investor packs.
- Knowledge of planning tools, data flows from finance, CRM, and HR systems, workflow automation, and AI-enabled analysis.
