About the Role

The Chief of Staff, Head of Marketing Strategy & Operations leads the evolution of ServiceNow's marketing function into a business-run operation. This role combines the Chief of Staff mandate of extending the CMO's reach with the operational rigor of a Marketing Strategy & Operations leader, owning planning, performance systems, and business infrastructure to connect strategy to execution.

Responsibilities

  • Run the business of marketing, owning the operating model, planning rhythm, and performance systems.
  • Lead the Office of the CMO, building and running the strategic hub for the marketing leadership team.
  • Drive focus and accountability by turning company goals into clear marketing priorities, budgets, and metrics.
  • Simplify operations to increase organizational speed and output.
  • Accelerate transformation by building frameworks, processes, and governance for marketing.
  • Lead change management and skill-building across the marketing function.
  • Oversee the Marketing AI Center of Excellence, driving AI adoption, governance, and innovation.
  • Partner across Sales, Finance, and IT to define and operationalize engagement with enterprise buying groups.
  • Oversee major initiatives end-to-end, including program management and ensuring measurable outcomes.
  • Lead M&A integration for Marketing, preparing and executing seamless integrations.
  • Connect functions by aligning brand, product, growth, and field teams.
  • Simplify collaboration and maintain clean operations across Finance, Sales, Product, and HR.
  • Represent Marketing in company forums, ensuring alignment on priorities, resources, and business impact.
  • Lead at scale by building, developing, and inspiring a high-performing organization.

Requirements

  • 15+ years leading marketing operations, strategy, or transformation in global, matrixed organizations.
  • Proven ability to scale complex systems with clarity, speed, and discipline.
  • Deep experience in planning, budgeting, performance management, and marketing ROI.
  • Track record of leading transformation, simplifying complexity, modernizing processes, and driving accountability.
  • Experience leading senior teams across operations, planning, and emerging capabilities like AI.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to lead confidently.
  • A calm, steady leadership style that brings focus and forward motion.
