About the Role

Whiskey Library is seeking a curious, commercially minded marketer with deep Google Ads expertise to develop messaging, write copy, and run experiments that grow their Bourbon Mystery Box subscription and online bottle shop. You will have the autonomy to form a point of view, implement it through testing, and iterate based on results, working directly with the CMO, creative team, and landing-page designer.

Responsibilities

  • Study customer reviews, search queries, objections, and competing offers to develop persuasive strategies.
  • Develop brand-aligned messaging, write and refine ad copy, and propose creative and landing-page concepts.
  • Own a prioritized testing plan, defining hypotheses, success measures, and executing A/B tests.
  • Execute Google Ads strategy across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, and other formats, managing campaign structure, bidding, and budgets.
  • Ensure reliable conversion tracking, Merchant Center, and product feeds, coordinating fixes with the team.
  • Assess acquisition cost, order value, gross profit, and customer lifetime value, differentiating between branded and non-branded activity, subscriptions, and retail.
  • Share findings with the marketing team, translate insights into new tests, and independently manage agreed-upon tasks.
  • Make routine account decisions independently; major strategic shifts require CMO approval.

Requirements

  • Strong marketing judgment and writing ability, connecting customer insight to persuasive copy.
  • Demonstrated curiosity through investigating questions, challenging assumptions, and adapting to evidence.
  • A repeatable testing method, including hypothesis, execution, results analysis, and next steps.
  • Proven e-commerce Google Ads execution with practical knowledge of Merchant Center, product feeds, conversion tracking, Google Analytics, and attribution.
  • Commercial judgment regarding profitable customer growth, with examples of personal contributions.
  • Strong written English, independent follow-through, and a collaborative approach to idea sharing, briefing, and feedback.
  • Experience with subscription businesses, alcohol e-commerce, or scaling accounts to six figures in monthly spend is helpful.
  • Ability to work primarily during US Eastern business hours initially.
