About the Role
You will own the infrastructure that Gyde’s AI-native brokerage platform runs on. This role involves managing a growing, multi-tenant environment that must remain secure, auditable, and predictable. The work blends infrastructure and application engineering, requiring ownership from business problem to deployed solution, including cloud infrastructure, application code, and vendor integrations. The focus is on simplifying a complex, regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the chain from problem to running control, taking ambiguous business or platform problems from inception to a proven solution.
- Build production TypeScript in shared packages, Temporal workers, data models, SQL migrations, and internal services within a monorepo.
- Manage the cloud platform including EKS, AWS defined in Pulumi, CI/CD, secrets, workload identity, and observability.
- Evaluate and integrate purchased systems, understanding their permission models and building necessary integrations.
- Implement security and compliance measures, including least-privilege IAM, BAA adherence, data classification, and audit trails.
- Manage infrastructure and LLM costs, including reconciliation and alerting for runaway spend.
Requirements
- Production EKS and AWS expressed in code, CI/CD, and actionable observability.
- Experience operating Kubernetes clusters through upgrades and incidents.
- Proficiency in writing production TypeScript, durable workflows, relational data modeling, migrations, and shared packages.
- Ability to reverse-engineer admin consoles and assess vendor capabilities beyond marketing claims.
- Prioritization of least privilege, understanding PHI leakage points, and treating spend as an instrumented metric.
- Verification of premises before building, consideration of blast radius and reversible rollouts, and ability to write and defend decision documents.
