About the Role

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and test/QA software. Apply knowledge of software architecture to develop, debug, or design software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within existing software architecture and suggest improvements.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software.
Apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications.
Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture.

Requirements

Object oriented programming (Java and C++);
Data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals;
Networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures;
Internet protocols and standards, including SMTP, REST, SSL and HTTP;
Databases, NoSQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies;
Troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment.
Fully competent in own area of expertise.
May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel.
