About the Role
FAIR-RITE PRODUCTS CORP. is seeking a candidate to train and support production in the Press Room. Basic math skills are needed, and no prior experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Review work orders to determine required stock and quantity for each machine.
- Assist with stocking each press for upcoming jobs using hand or powered lift trucks.
- Ensure stock is in designated areas and organized.
- Supply and replenish powder and refractory to all presses.
- Record and maintain inventory transactions using CMS / ERP for proper control of powders.
- Transfer pressed parts and Work Order Packets to the kiln department.
- Retrieve and transfer powder when supply levels are low.
- Prepare the press for set-up, which may include draining hoppers or removing tools.
- Conduct physical testing of incoming powder, including bulk density, flow, moisture, and sieve tests.
- Retain parts and powder after testing.
- Maintain neatness and order in the powder room and powder areas.
- Communicate issues concerning powder supply or general press machine functions with team members, verbally or in writing.
- Prepare and set up materials needed for the second shift.
- Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards to which Fair Rite is certified.
- Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the F/R Safety and Health Policy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- No required experience; training will be provided.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
- Must be able to comprehend work orders.
- Ability to operate CMS / ERP system.
- Ability to effectively read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
- Ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision.
- Requires ability to navigate through defined computer screens.
