About the Role
This Quality Engineering Co-Op assignment is for the Spring 2027 season, lasting approximately 6 months. The role is crucial for sustaining and improving specialty chemical products used in semiconductor manufacturing, focusing on site quality systems, statistical process controls, and continuous improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Learn specialty canister/ampoule assembly and chemical purification technology
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to make enhancements to production processes
- Create Power BI and other dashboards to improve visibility to site quality metrics
- Conduct statistical process control (SPC) reviews and develop review templates
- Work with the engineering team to facilitate, track and drive key customer requests
- Communicate effectively with other team members to promote a safe, positive, and productive working environment
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in quality systems and continuous improvement
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis, data interpretation, or process improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with data visualization, dashboards, or reporting tools is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Demonstrated initiative and eagerness to learn in a manufacturing or technical environment
- Interest in quality engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, specialty chemicals, or process engineering
- Must be a currently enrolled student
- Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June
- Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program
