About the Role
As a Registered Practical Nurse (Concierge Medicine) with the Executive Health program, you will provide high-quality care services, nursing support directly to clients, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team. You will primarily interact with patients via computer and telephone.
Responsibilities
- Triage clients with primary care concerns, recognize red flags, take history, and communicate to Medical Director and Clinic Operations Manager.
- Interact with patients by phone and communicate results.
- Fulfill administrative tasks including making appointments, faxing, reviewing lab results, discussing diagnostic results with clients, and EMR tasks.
- Process referrals and track their status.
- Act as a clinical resource to staff and train new staff.
- Perform blood draws and administer vaccines in the Executive Health clinic.
- Provide high-quality care by understanding medical directives, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in company training to maintain up-to-date knowledge of medicine and vaccination.
- Maintain clear and accountable documentation practices according to Company and CNO standards.
- Provide individualized risk assessment and risk management information related to general health.
- Order medical and health-related supplies and restock handouts.
- Act as the clinical resource for staff and clients during critical clinical situations.
- Follow up with the physician, patient, and Team Manager as appropriate.
Requirements
- Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) certification with a current license in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- First Aid/BLS CPR certified and up to date.
- Ability to follow Medical Directives for safe vaccine administration in compliance with College of Nurses of Ontario and Company Health Group standards.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated professionalism and effective communication with corporate clients.
- Ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate urgency in completing time-sensitive tasks.
- Ability to work autonomously with initiative and good judgment.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Experience in case management is an asset.
