About the Role

This role will provide client and sales support for US and Canada Analytics, Research, and Tools clients, as well as Mercer colleagues. The position will transition into a quota-carrying sales role after approximately six months.

Responsibilities

  • Provide business development & sales support for Canada and USA MAPs clients.
  • Engage in high-activity external outreach as a quota-carrying professional.
  • Identify and qualify target organizations and selling opportunities.
  • Assist with MercerInsight tutorials and demonstrations.
  • Provide input into the ongoing MAPS tools development.
  • Populate CRM with activity data and create pipelines.
  • Assist with new client onboarding.
  • Collaborate with team members to support MAPs opportunities.
  • Work with front-line sales staff and Legal in the region to prepare contracts for prospects.
  • Become a Tools expert for the targeted geography and participate in sales demonstrations of Mercer products.
  • Set up MercerInsight trials and new account creations.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required, with a concentration in business, finance, economics, operations or related discipline preferred.
  • 5-7 years of related work experience, preferably in investments and/or background in financial services, or as an investment analyst.
  • Knowledge of investments, both traditional and alternatives with preference to alternative experience.
  • Experience using eVestment & TopQ+ suite of software is a plus.
  • Comfortable presenting, using web-based presentation platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal/writing skills for communications with internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work in teams as well as independently.
  • Flexibility to work under tight deadlines.
  • Potential to travel after 6 months, roughly 25%.
