About the Role
You'll teach people something they'll use every day for the rest of their lives, primarily teenagers taking their first turn behind the wheel or adults preparing for a road test. You will teach in a company-provided, safety-equipped vehicle. The company covers the cost of your certification, including training coursework. Every lesson is recorded for safety. Your schedule will align with student availability, typically concentrating in afternoons and weekends, with a standard day consisting of three two-hour lessons.
Responsibilities
- Teach the practical skills of driving, from parking lots to freeway merges
- Coach students on the rules of the road
- Build student confidence and competence
- Take control of the vehicle when necessary
- Document and report on student progress
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and the support team
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions
- Attend team meetings, updates, and ongoing development sessions
Requirements
- A genuine passion for helping people learn
- Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- A strong safety mindset and sound judgment
- Clear, direct communication and coaching instincts
- The ability to focus for extended periods
- A valid driver's license in the state of employment
- At least 10 years of licensed driving experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods in a vehicle
- Ability to see and hear clearly in all weather conditions
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, touch, and feel
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
